Majority of us are busy in our lives. Weighing the priorities, we often give more importance to our official duties. What about home? We at Life Maid Easy Services Incorporated, always take feedback from our clients and from our maids. We have found that, sometimes the simplest of actions can make such a huge difference in the way your home is managed. You’ll reap other benefits as well, but most importantly you’ll have a home that allows you to be relaxed knowing everything is in its place and not forgotten.
Well, here is what we found:
All you have to make sure is to make every room is clutter free and well organised. It is not going to happen in a day. This will indeed take time and can be overwhelming, particularly if you are unsure as to where to start. Come on, it is not that hard.
Using a list is the smartest thing you can do if you want to improve your home management skills. Why? Because instead of trying to commit them to memory, your to-do list will help to keep you organized and not overwhelmed. Keep a calendar or planner to keep track of all the appointments, school activities, and important information. Review your planner each morning so you never forget something crucial. Get in the habit of writing in it regularly. If you’re out and you make a meeting or appointment, create an alert on your phone so you remember to write it down when you get home.
The motto in our homes should be “We live here – we help out.” It’s not just one person’s responsibility to keep the house clean and stay on top of household chores. Each person in the house should help to keep the home in order. Maybe a young child can help bring laundry to the washing machine, someone can fill water bottles, and someone takes out the trash. Designate chores to fit each person’s ability and age. This way they know what they are required to do, and on what days. This can take the load off of you having to do it all yourself – because nowhere does it say it’s only your responsibility
Here are some tips
You can tackle one room at a time.
You can declutter in 10-minute increments.
You can do a weekend purge.
Look out for you resources to make the job easy. Look out of storage containers in online shops or if you are in Cochin, check it out in Broadway. You can find them in shops selling plastic items. It is always advisable to buy virgin plastic.
Without a clear organizational system, you won’t be able to up your home’s cleanliness because you’ll have too much stuff collecting dust. Once you implement these tips your home will immediately become more manageable and much easier to navigate moving forward.
Having properly labeled baskets and bins for storing items in each room in our home, helps everyone in the home know what belongs where. Place them inside cabinets in the bathroom for toiletries, kitchen for cleaning supplies, drawers for organizing all the trinkets and knick-knacks you own, in the laundry room, office and more. Labels are a great way to keep everyone in the know about where things go so you can maintain your organizational system. Tags help kids know where to store their toys, where to put their homework, what to grab for a snack.
Laundry could be the next hurdle you might face. Piles of laundry will definitely going to jeopardize you home management mission. Look, we all hate to do laundry, and if you have a big family, it’s even worse. But the reality is ignoring this one simple habit can really create a mess in your home. You can start by sorting by colour and type. Have one basket for whites, one for coloured and one for clothes that need special care. This saves your time. Once done, one person can put it out to dry and another can fold it. Establish a firm load a day habit.
Keeping the home clean is very important in home management. Certain cleaning jobs has to be done on daily basis without failure
Doing one load of laundry.
Wiping down surfaces after use.
Handling paper/mail as it comes in.
Putting clothes and shoes away after use/or at the end of the day.
You might have other chores you want to be done daily. Great, put them on your cleaning calendar, so you don’t forget them. The point here is that to improve upon your homes cleanliness, you have to be doing small but simple tasks each day. This way nothing gets completely unmanageable. And, get your kids to help.

The Night Before
Prepping at night is key. Make sure things are picked up for the night, clothes are laid out for the next day, lunches are prepped and ready so that in the morning everything runs smoothly.
